[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]People living in Vaalwater say that they have no place to chill out. Waterberg Tourism is now working with the community to correct this. Already one park area has been cleaned up.
In November community member Nic Callichy rose to the challenge to have his team of bush clearers clear the park above Laer Skool of unwanted shrubs and bush. “We are most grateful to Nic for helping the community. Now we would like others to come forward to level the ground and provide concrete benches and tables as well as dustbins.” says Ken Maud of Waterberg Tourism. “Unfortunately, if we wait for the authorities nothing will ever get done! We as a community must take pride in our town and take the initiative. We have all the resources to do so. All we need is a common desire by the entire community to move forward.”
Already members of Leseding community are starting to campaign for the clean-up of the area alongside the Melkrivier Road as you leave Vaalwater. Hopefully this initiative will receive the response expected so that the community will become more attractive for the community as well as visitors.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
